NURSES PLEDGE

I solemnly pledge myself, before God and in the presence of this assembly, to consciously practice my profession.

I will respect, all life, dignity and rights of man in the practice of my calling.

I will zealously seek, to nurse, those who need care irrespective of nationality, race creed, colour, age, sex, politics or social status.

I will collaborate and co-ordinate with the health team and devote myself, to the welfare of, my patients, my family and my country.

I will endeavor, to fulfill my rights and privileges as a good citizen and take my, share of responsibility, to promote health, to prevent illness, restore health, to prevent illness, and to alleviate suffering.

I will constantly endeavour, to increase my knowledge and skills, in nursing and to use them wisely.

I will be active, in assisting others in safeguarding and promoting the health and happiness of mankind.
